MERCURY 15hp EFI
More power. More control. More comfort. The new Mercury outboards
FourStroke 15hp and 20hp were designed to enhance every minute you spend at sea:
• The innovative adjustable bow is designed for comfortable left- or right-handed operation.
• Electronically controlled fuel injection (EFI) ensures quick starts and immediate engine response to throttle opening.
• This new twin cylinder engine delivers excellent torque for top acceleration.
• Light weight design offers easier engine portability and improved performance.
• The new motor mounts dampen vibrations to the boat and the bow.
• Maintenance is easy with drip-free oil changes.
• Ready for use in a wide range of applications: select manual or electric start models, models with a rudder or steering system, and up to three driveshaft length options.
Intuitive, innovative features
- Less weight, more torque
A newly designed low internal friction engine with a single overhead camshaft delivers more torque. At the same time, overall weight has been reduced by around 4.5kg – a significant reduction that makes a big difference in small boats. Increased power and reduced weight improve planing performance and top speed. These outboards are the fastest, most versatile and most powerful engines in the class!
- Easy, reliable startup
FourStroke engines' electronically controlled fuel injection (EFI) system does not require a battery for jump-starting. In addition, EFI ensures easy starts – with a warm or cold engine – and excellent fuel economy. It has the ability to self-regulate to provide maximum performance depending on the weather conditions and the altitude of the place where the boat is operating. Also, most of the maintenance problems associated with modern fuels are eliminated by the continuously pressurized fuel system. The engine's response to opening the throttle is immediate at all times.
- Ambidextrous bunny
The new center-mounted bow is easily adjustable for horizontal position and throttle grip reversal for left-right or left-right installation. The vertical position of the bowsprit is also adjustable, so you can adjust according to the boat, your arm length and your preferences. The bowsprit can be locked at a 45 or 73 degree angle for fishing or towing the boat. The large shifter is up front for easy handling, while a new button adjusts the friction of the throttle grip.
