MERCURY 80hp EFI
High displacement / Less weight
Thanks to Mercury's continued commitment to providing industry-leading innovation, you can now mount a lighter and smaller FourStroke outboard to your transom that delivers better performance, helps the boat plan faster and exhibits increased drag sport capabilities compared to previous models of 80‑ 115 hp – and all this combined with increased fuel economy, trouble-free maintenance and long-lasting reliability.
These FourStroke outboards have a displacement of 2.1 liters, which means they work smarter, not harder. The result; Improved durability, longer life and of course a better and faster planing process, top overall acceleration and amazing top speed.
Reduced weight, combined with high displacement, helps these FourStroke outboards provide maximum fuel economy, particularly at cruising speeds.
Specially designed oil scrapers and special bushings minimize friction on the crankshaft, which also helps reduce fuel consumption. Noise and vibration are minimized thanks to a heat-welded sealing cover, a muffler in the idle exhaust port that uses an acoustic filter to reduce high-frequency noise from the exhaust, a new smoother clutch system in the transmission shifter and Mercury's exclusive Focused Engine Mount System.
Even more power and dominance
Need more power? Upgrade to a new Command Thrust motor with a longer 2.38:1 gear ratio leg. Combined with Mercury's large diameter propellers, the 100 and 115 hp FourStrokes offer even better acceleration, unrivaled maneuverability and superior stopping power.
Heavy duty uses
This larger footprint in the water, combined with a powerful 2.38:1 gear ratio and the ability to use Mercury's top line of V-6 propellers, is the ideal solution for float boats, larger/heavier aluminum or polyester fishing boats and recreational boats or heavy-duty commercial applications.
Left-hand motors
For the first time, Mercury offers a left-hand drive FourStroke 115 hp engine. Left-handed models offer a torque-free neutral feel at the wheel and superior handling in a pair of engines. Two 115 hp CT engines provide the maneuverability and safety of a pair of higher horsepower engines, at a much lower purchase price.
Improved acceleration
The larger 'CT' leg provides better leverage making heavier hulls easier to plan and keeping them planed at lower speeds. The 2.38:1 gear ratio allows the engine to develop its torque and revs faster.
Reasons to upgrade
A new Mercury FourStroke engine can upgrade your boat with improved acceleration, performance and maneuverability. The lightest FourStroke 115 hp in the industry weighs only 163 kg.
These FourStrokes are 18kg lighter than their older counterparts and 9kg lighter than the nearest competitor. They are ideal for transoms that cannot handle the weight of their older, heavier FourStrokes, and their smaller dimensions make it easier to fish on and around them, at the stern of the boat.
